Happy New Year and AGL Meeting at CES Las Vegas
Rudolf Streif <rstreif@...>
I wish everyone a very happy New Year and a lot of success during 2013. I hope you had some relaxing and energizing days during the holidays.
Many of you have responded to my earlier e-mail on who will be attending CES in Las Vegas this year. We will have an AGL lunch meeting at the Ego Cafe in the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel (3400 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV) on Tuesday 1/8 from 11:30am to 1pm. The hotel is only a few steps from the LVCC.
If you are planning on attending please respond to this e-mail so that I can make arrangements accordingly.
Best regards,

Hi Everyone,

Unfortunately Host Concepts will not be attending CES this year due to other events we are committed to exhibiting at. However I am happy to announce that we are only a few weeks away from having a functional (and beautiful) UI built on top of Tizen for use in whatever AGL ends up becoming. We have had some hardware issues and package issues, but were still able to get together enough info to build a UI and run it on boot. Of course we still have no clue now to get it from our test environment into the real world, but we will cross that bridge when we get to it :-) I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year! I look forward to seeing AGL take shape in 2013.

Good to hear that you are making great progress on the reference UI. We are here to help you crossing the bridge from your development environment to the open-source world. Once you are ready it would be great if you could share info on the UI on the AGL wiki and the mailing list. We will be setting up a download server/repository for AGL shortly too to make source and binary packages available. That will help folks to integrate these packages with their build environment.
If you need any support please let us know. Cheers, Rudi
